Biography
Born in Cracow, Bartek Macias graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. A multimedia video artist, animation director and visual effects supervisor, he has worked on many films, theatre productions, television theatre shows, and commercials. He won a gold award at the Advertising Festival in 2011 in the design category for his video mapping presented to a wide international audience in the Polish pavilion at Expo 2010 in Shanghai. He is a founder of the Lunapark group which brings together artists from different domains of the audiovisual arts. Since 2011 he has been involved in the projects of Mariusz Treliński and Boris Kudlička. He has designed the video projections for opera productions such as Iolanta / Bluebeard’s Castle (2013), Orfeo ed Euridice (2013), The Devils of Loudun (2013), Manon Lescaut (2012), Der fliegende Holländer (2012), Turandot (2011), Don Giovanni (2006), Così fan tutte (2005), and others.
