Eva Farkašová-Zálešáková
Biography
The work of Eva Farkašová-Zálešáková concentrates on theatrical and TV stage design, costume design, and puppet theatre. She completed her studies at the Prague Academy of Music and Drama in 1977. Her first engagement was in the State Puppet Theatre in Bratislava. She has been teaching at the Bratislava School of Music and Drama since 1997. At the beginning of her professional career in the first half of the 1980s, she greatly benefited from her collaboration with director Blaho Uhlár on productions for the Trnava Theatre in Slovakia. Since the early 1990s she has co-operated with director Marián Pecka and set designer Ján Zavarský, with whom she has implemented a number of projects not only for Slovak theatres, but also for the Panstowowo Theatre Lalka in Warsaw, Poland. Today Eva Farkašová-Zálešáková has dozens of productions to her credit for both theatres and television and her activities have spread far beyond the Slovak borders into Poland, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Argentina, and even Taiwan. She regularly presents her work at exhibitions of set design at home and abroad (Slovenia, France, Germany, Poland, and elsewhere). Update: 2002
