Laterna magika

Laterna magika is preparing a new movement and multimedia project to be led by renowned director Darcy Grant. The resulting production will combine movement theatre, dance, and acrobatics.

Premiere performance: 12 December 2024
Project working title: In Our Hands
Director: Darcy Grant
Age: 16–75 years

Audition requirements

We are looking for performers highly skilled in the following disciplines:

  • Movement theatre (mime, physical theatre techniques);
  • Dance (contemporary, ballet or breakdance and other street-dance styles);
  • Acrobatics (group, solo, aerial or parkour)

Requirements on the applicants:

  • Top skills in at least one of the aforementioned areas;
  • Ability and skills in movement improvisation;
  • Experience with collective work;
  • Sense for teamwork.

We encourage candidates to apply for the audition together with a partner or in a small group to show the best of their joint abilities.

Please indicate in your application if you can play a musical instrument.

  • Audition date: 2nd and 3rd February 2024 
  • Venue: New Stage ballet hall
