Biography
At the National Theatre in Prague, Jana Šrejma Kačírková debuted in the role of Adina (Donizetti: L'elisir d'amore) in 2010. She graduated from the Prague Conservatory in 2006. While still a student, she won several prizes at the Antonín Dvořák Vocal Competition in Karlovy Vary. From 2006 to 2010, she was a regular guest of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, from 2010 to 2016 she was there in permanent engagement. On this stage, she has created nummerous roles, including Mozart's Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Zerbinetta (R. Strauss: Ariadne auf Naxos), Mara (M. Tutino: La Lupa), Nedda (Leoncavallo: Pagliacci), Marguerite (Gounod: Faust), Violetta (Verdi: La traviata), Lisette (Puccini: La rondine), Smetana’s Jitka (Dalibor) and Mařenka (The Bartered Bride), Anne Trulove (Stravinsky: The Rake's Progress), Donizetti’s Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda and Elisabetta (Roberto Devereux), Juliette (Gounod: Roméo et Juliette), and Elvira (Verdi: Ernani). Since 2016 she has been permanent member of the National Theatre Brno. At the National Theatre in Prague, she has performed as Mozart's Konstanze (Die Enführung aus dem Serail), Susanna and La Contessa (Le nozze di Figaro), Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) and Donna Anna (Don Giovanni), Terinka (Dvořák: The Jacobin) and Olympia (Offenbach: Les contes d'Hoffmann). She has appeared at many prestigious international festivals, including in Ercolano, Italy (Elisetta in Cimarosa‘s Matrimonio segreto), in Lecce (Lauretta in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi), the Pafos Aphrodite festival in Cyprus, the Prague Spring and Smetana’s Litomyšl. At the Český Krumlov International Music Festival, she appeared as Donna Anna and Nedda along with José Cura (Canio). She has won four South Bohemia Thalia Awards and the “Libuška” honorary prize at the Opera 2013 festival for her extraordinary performance of the role of Gilda in Verdi's Rigoletto, and Thalia Awards for her portrayals of Gounod's Juliette (2012), Donizetti's Anna Bolena (2013) at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, and in 2020 for Three Fragments from Juliette/La Voix humaine by B. Martinů and F. Poulenc at the National Theatre Brno.
