Audition Call for Corps de Ballet in Prague

CZECH NATIONAL BALLET, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR: FILIP BARANKIEWICZ

The Czech National Ballet invites dynamic and dedicated dancers to audition for the Corps de Ballet for the upcoming 2024/2025 season, with contracts starting in January 2025.

As part of our renowned company, you will have the opportunity to perform on world-class level stages, working with esteemed choreographers and presenting a diverse repertoire that spans from classical to contemporary works.

Our current Corps de Ballet includes dancers within the following height ranges:
Female dancers: 160 cm to 171 cm
Male dancers: 174 cm to 190 cm

Applicants should have completed formal ballet training and be in the early stages of building their professional portfolio. We encourage dancers with strong classical and contemporary technique, artistry, versatility, and a commitment to growth to apply.

To be submitted by October 30, 2024, to balletaudition@narodni-divadlo.cz.
Please send in one folder labeled with your name via WeTransfer.

  • CV:
    Detailing your education, training, performance experience, and current engagement
  • Photos:
    – One headshot
    – Two full-body photos
  • Video Submission:
    A video (3-6 minutes) recorded within the last three months in a studio or similar space with no other dancers present
    The video must include:
    – Barre and centre work (au milieu) for all applicants
    – One classical and one contemporary variation
    – Female dancers: Pointe work
    – Male dancers: Jumps
