Alejandro Roy as new Cavaradossi in Tosca

10/2/2022

Opera

Spanish tenor Alejandro Roy “jumps in” as a new Cavadarossi in all scheduled performances of Tosca at the State Opera (12. 2., 26. 2. and 3. 3.). Mr. Roy will replace Fabian Lara, who is currently unable to perform.

Alejandro Roy studied singing with the famous mezzo-soprano Fedori Barbieri in Florence. Meticulously he worked his way from lyrical roles to the more dramatic ones. He performed at the most famous opera houses such are the Metropolitan Opera in New York, where he made his debut in 2019 as Calaf, the Verona Arena, theatres in Parma, Naples, Madrid and Barcelona and many more. Critics consider His deeply colored voice with bright tops as “match made in heaven” for Puccini's and Verdi's operas.
