NATIONAL THEATRE ON THE WATER will undoubtedly be the highlight of what the Opera has prepared for June. The open-air event will take place at the centre of Prague on the Vltava river in the evening of 19th and 26th June.
THE OPERA IS BACK! and we hope for a safe “voyage” back into your lives. Come and join us for a cruise on the waves of classical music!
The NATIONAL THEATRE ON THE WATER open-air event takes place on Saturdays of 19th and 26th. Playing on board of a boat, the orchestras of the National Theatre will accompany our soloists performing highlights of current program of the Czech leading opera house. The entry will be FREE.
Sailing towards you on the waves of the Vltava river will be a selection of the best pieces taken from our repertoire – organized around treasured numbers of both Czech and world opera. Come and enjoy the beauty of opera from the banks of the river.
Stops: in the evening of 19th June
8:00 PM – between Střelecký Island and Kampa
8:50 PM – mooring at Rašín Riverfront
9:20 PM – Smíchov Riverfront
There will be selections from Bizet's Carmen, Rossini's The Barber of Seville, Puccini's Turandot, Smetana's The Bartered Bride and Dvořák's Rusalka.

UPDATE! THIS DATE IS CANCELED
Bella Bohemia, a high-tech boat provided by Prague Boats is propelled by an electrical engine meaning that the machinery will not disturb the live music production in any way.
Czech Tourism and the Kudy z nudy portal are the partners of the event.
The event is held under the auspices of the Minister of Culture, Mr. Lubomír Zaorálek, and the Mayor of Prague, Mr. Zdeněk Hřib
The event will have to be cancelled in case of bad weather.
