Robert Jerjen Promoted to Demisoloist

The Czech National Ballet is delighted to announce that Robert Jerjen has been promoted to the rank of demi-soloist. This talented dancer, born in Chur, Switzerland, has been a member of our company since 2019, earning recognition from audiences and critics alike.
Robert grew up not only in Switzerland but also in the United States and Panama. His dance education began at Tanz Akademie Zürich, where he successfully graduated in 2018. He continued his development in Amsterdam at the European School of Ballet before joining the Czech National Ballet.
During his time in Prague, Robert Jerjen has performed a wide array of remarkable roles. Among his most memorable roles are Lensky in Onegin by John Cranko, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet by John Cranko, the four princes in The Sleeping Beauty by Márcia Haydée, as well as his performances in Petite Mort by Jiří Kylián (Kylián – Bridges of Time), The Second Detail by William Forsythe, EDEN | EDEN by Wayne McGregor, and Handman by Edward Clug (Forsythe / Clug / McGregor). Additionally, he has danced the roles of the Prince and the Devil in The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol, Gurn in La Sylphide, Paris in Romeo and Juliet, Blue Bird in The Sleeping Beauty, Benno in Swan Lake, and the Prince’s Friend in Cinderella.
This season, you can see him performing in Romeo and Juliet, bpm, and Beyond Vibrations.
Robert Jerjen's promotion to demi-soloist is a recognition of his exceptional talent, dedication, and determination, which contribute to the outstanding quality of our ballet company.
