Biography

Alan Rendzak is an American baritone from Cape May, New Jersey. He is currently preparing for his fourth year at Oberlin Conservatory where he studies under the direction of Salvatore Champagne. While at Oberlin, Alan has performed in three mainstage operas, two of which he was casted in principal roles. Alan has performed as Don Parmenione in Rossini’s L’Occasione fa il Ladro, as well Conte Robinsone in Cimarosa’s Il Matrimonio Segreto and as chorus in Acis and Galatea. Most recently, Alan participated in the workshop of Stephen Hartke’s new opera, Rhino!, in which he premiered the role of Gene with Oberlin’s Contemporary Music Ensemble. Alan is also an alumni of SongFest’s Young Artist Program. He has sung in masterclasses for Martin Katz, Graham Johnson, and Lydia Brown. Alan is excited to be performing as Count Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro as part of Prague Summer Nights 2023 Festival.
