Barbora Maleninská

Biography

Barbora Maleninská studied stage design at the Academy of Music and Drama in Prague between 2013 and 2020. She is currently engaged in scholary research in the field of stage design at the Academy’s Drama Department, as part of her doctoral degree studies. She is active as a stage and costume designer on Czech independent theatre and cinema scene, focusing primarily on interdisciplinary author projects. She has been a long-term external collaborator of the Prague National Theatre. She has created a number of costume designs, for example at the Palmovka Theatre (Spáči, Sleepers, 2022, dir. Catinca Draganescu), the Vinohrady Theatre (Past na myši, The Mousetrap, 2022, dir. Jan Burian) and the National Theatre (Plameny, Flames, 2022, dir. Calixto Bieito), among others.
