Biography

Beatriz Reis is a Portuguese dancer whose grace, technical skill, and artistic versatility shine on stage. She received her ballet training at the Conservatório Internacional de Ballet e Dança Annarella Sánchez in Leiria, Portugal, where she studied from 2015 to 2022. Her education encompassed classical ballet, contemporary dance, pas de deux technique, repertoire, character dance, and Caucasian dance, preparing her for a professional career in ballet.

In September 2022, Beatriz joined the Sibiu Ballet Theatre, marking the beginning of her professional journey. During her time with the company, she has performed an array of roles in classical and contemporary works, including Clara in The Nutcracker, soloist roles such as Pas de Trois, Little Swans, and Hungarian Dance in Swan Lake, as well as the Step Sister and Spring Fairy in Cinderella. Her repertoire also includes Don Quixote (Kitri’s friend and lead Dryad), Concerto con Brio under Yannik Boquin’s direction, Rigoletto, and Der Rosenkavalier.

Beatriz’s versatility extends beyond traditional ballet to contemporary pieces like In the Name of Joy and Sandra Mavhima’s One Way Ticket, which she performed during tours in Poland. She has also toured extensively across Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Belgium, performing in The Nutcracker (Columbine, Russian, and Chinese dances) and Snow White.

In addition to her professional career, Beatriz has worked under the artistic direction of renowned coaches, including Maina Gielgud, who staged productions of Swan Lake and Giselle, as well as The Sleeping Beauty (Fairy of Serenity and Aurora’s Friends). These experiences have further honed her skills and deepened her understanding of classical ballet.

With her dedication, elegance, and expressive artistry, Beatriz continues to grow as a dancer, captivating audiences worldwide with her performances.
