Biography
Cameron McMillan makes his National Theatre Opera debut in the 2023/24 season (L’elisir d’amore). Based in London, Cameron McMillan is an award-winning New Zealand/British choreographer, dance artist and teacher with an international performance and creative career spanning ballet, contemporary dance, opera, film and fashion. His performance career includes a wide range of classical and contemporary repertory and new creation, in companies and freelance, including Rambert, English National Ballet, The Royal New Zealand Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and Sadler’s Wells. Choreography commissions include the Royal Ballet of Flanders, Brisbane Festival, Royal Opera House in London, The Royal New Zealand Ballet, Trinity Laban, Milwaukee Ballet, BBC Proms, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, among many others. Opera choreography credits include Der Singende Teufel (Oper Bonn), La bohème (Theater Bielefeld), L’Amico Fritz (Opera Holland Park), Edmea (Wexford Festival Opera), Siegfried and Götterdämmerung (Grimeborn festival, Hackney Empire).
