Soloist of The Czech National BalletBiography
A charismatic dancer who handles both technically very demanding roles and internally complex characters. He has not only dancing talents, but also acting abilities. His expression on stage is fresh and convincing. He has been a member of the Czech National Ballet since 2013, when he joined as a core de ballet. In the 2014/2015 season he was appointed demi-soloist and since the 2015/2016 season he has been a soloist.
Dmytro was born in 1989 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, where he studied ballet school in 1995–2005. In 2005–2007 he extended his education at the Ballet Conservatory in Perm, Russia. Between 2006 and 2009 he was a soloist at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre and then from 2009 until 2013 he was a soloist at Teatr Wielki in Poznan, Poland. He then moved to the National Theatre in Prague.
This season, audiences can see him in The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol by Youri Vàmos (Policeman Bobbie / Nutcracker, Waltz – solo), The Sleeping Beauty by Márcia Haydée (Prince of the East, Puss in Boots) and La Fille mal gardée by Frederick Ashton (Cockerel).
He has also appeared in Forsythe / Clug / McGregor; Leonce and Lena by Christian Spuck; Kylián – Bridges of Time by Jiří Kylián; Kafka: The Trial by Mauro Bigonzetti; La Bayadère by Javier Torres and many other productions.
