Biography

Erivan is a young multi-talented dancer who can perform a wide variety of repertoire. He is both passionate and temperamental, classical and modern, delicate and explosive.

Erivan enters the studio or the stage every day smiling and expressing his contagious enthusiasm for his art.

He was born in Vitoria, Brazil. At the age of seven, he joined the Espaço da Dança school, where he studied until the age of eighteen. During that time he took part in numerous competitions including the Youth America Grand Prix, the International Festival of Joinville, and the Prix de Lausanne in 2017. There he received a scholarship to complete his studies at Canada’s National Ballet School. In 2019, he started his career at the Singapore Ballet and in 2021 he joined the Czech National Ballet in Prague.

 In only a couple of seasons in Prague Erivan has risen to many challenges and the audience had the opportunity to see him in a number of roles: Romeo and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (J. Cranko), Desiré and Cavalier of Fairies in The Sleeping Beauty (M. Haydée), Colas in La Fille mal gardée (F. Ashton), James in La Sylphide (J. Kobborg), Benno in Swan Lake (J. Cranko), The Nutcracker in The Nutcracker – A Christmas Carol (Y. Vàmos) etc.

Eivan also performs in contemporary works such as The Second Detail, Handman (Forsythe / Clug / McGregor triple bill; W. Forsythe, E. Clug), Cinderella (J.-Ch. Maillot), A Streetcar Named Desire (J. Neumeier), Fly Paper Bird (Beyond Vibrations triple bill; M. Goecke), Bill and Artza (bpm triple bill; S. Eyal and G. Behar; E. Dadon), Kafka: The Trial (M. Bigonzetti) or in Jiří Kylián’s choreographies Gods and Dogs, Bella Figura and Sechs Tänze in Kylián – Bridges of Time
