Biography

Guilherme Aquino is a Brazilian bass-baritone, currently active as a singer and
educator in São Paulo's vibrant music scene. His musical journey commenced at 19
when he began his studies at the Brasília School of Music, focusing on opera singing.
He later earned a degree in Music Education from the University of Brasília at the age of 24.

At the present time, he is specializing in Baroque singing at EMESP Tom Jobim
while also being a member of the Academic Choir of OSESP as a scholarship recipient,
contributing to the bass section.

As a soloist, Guilherme has been involved in numerous productions, notably
portraying characters such as Gasparo in Gaetano Donizetti's opera "Rita" at the opera
studio of the University of Brasília, Andrea in Luigi Ricci's "La Serva e L'Ussero" at the
Casa da Cultura de Brasília, and Simone in Giacomo Puccini's "Gianni Schicchi" at the
41st Music Workshop of Curitiba.

In choral repertoire, he participated as a scholarship recipient in the 2022 edition
of the Mozarteum Singing Festival, contributing to the choir for Rossini's "Petite Messe
Solennelle," under the baton of Maestro Rolf Beck. He has also performed as a soloist
with the Madrigal de Brasília. Additionally, he has showcased his soloist abilities in
works such as Mozart's "Mass in C Minor" and "Requiem" with the Cantus Firmus choir,
as well as pieces like Handel's "Messiah" and Camille Saint-Saëns's "Oratorio de Noël."
