Ingrid Erb

Biography

Ingrid Erb, born in Basel, Switzerland, studied art history at the University of Basel and architecture at ETH Zurich. In 1996, 1998 and 2001 she won the Swiss Design Award for stage design. She has created sets and costumes for productions at theatres such as  Stadttheater Bern, Luzerner Theater, Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck, for theatres in Regensburg, Augsburg, Freiburg, state theatres in Darmstadt, Mannheim, Mainz, Kassel, Renaissancetheater in Berlin, for Oper Köln, Volksoper, Volkstheater, Schauspielhaus, Burgtheater in Vienna, and State Opera in Novosibirsk. She has collaborated with directors such as Adriana Altaras, Claes Fellboom, Tatjana Gürbaca, Markus Imhoof, Barrie Kosky, Dominique Mentha, Olivier Tambosi and others. She also specializes in architecture and teaches at the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Vienna.
