Biography

Kenyo, born in Tokyo, Japan, began his ballet training at the Suzuki Naotoshi and Keiko Ballet School under the guidance of Naotoshi Suzuki, Keiko Suzuki, and Mao Suzuki. His early years were marked by dedication and talent, which earned him a place in the 2019 Youth Spirit of Dance productions organized by Wisław Dudek, where he performed in all 11 shows across Japan and Poland. Seeking to further develop his craft, he studied at the Bytom Ballet School in Poland from 2019 to 2020 under the tutelage of Marek Pretki.

In 2021, Kenyo joined the Zurich Dance Academy, where he trained with renowned instructors such as Oliver Matz, Steffi Scherzer, Ivan Dinev, and Ákos Sebestyén. During his time there, he performed with Ballet Zurich in The Nutcracker, choreographed by Christian Spuck, and took on leading roles in school performances, including the 2nd Variation from the 3rd Act of August Bournonville’s Napoli and the principal couple in George Balanchine’s Scotch Symphony.

Kenyo’s remarkable artistry and technical skill have been recognized with several prestigious accolades. In 2021, he was awarded special recognition from the Mayor of Ota City, Japan, as well as the Ota City Youth Award. That same year, he achieved 1st Place and the Grand Prix at the Magic of Dance Competition in Poland and also won 1st Place at the New Ballet Competition. In 2020, he secured 1st Place at the European Ballet Grand Prix, which led to gala appearances in two performances, and was a Top 6 finalist at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP) Japan Semi-Finals. Additionally, his talent earned him a scholarship at the Zurich Dance Academy from 2021 to 2024.

Kenyo continues to distinguish himself as a promising young dancer, combining rigorous training, versatility, and a strong stage presence to make his mark in the world of ballet.
