Mykola Dyadyura will make his debut at the National Theatre Opera in the 2024/25 season as conductor of La bohème. He has served as chief conductor of the Ukrainian National Philharmonic Orchestra (since 1996), the Ukrainian National Opera (since 2011) and the Pomeranian Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland (since 2022). After graduating from the Kyiv National Conservatoire, he became a laureate of the International Conducting Competition "Min-On" and a recipient of the Special Prize of the Japan Conductors Association in Tokyo. In 1988 he won the prize of the János Ferencsik International Conducting Competition in Budapest. At the invitation of Seiji Ozawa, he came to the Tanglewood Art Center in the USA, where he also had the opportunity to study with Leonard Bernstein and André Previn. He received his first chief conducting post in 1986 with the Omsk Philharmonic Orchestra in Russia. He has also been the chief conductor of the Seoul Symphony Orchestra in South Korea (1989–1996) and the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra in Poland (2010–2013). He is a recipient of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Stella d'Italia, and a People's Artist of Ukraine.
