Patrik Horňák

Patrik Horňák was born in Trenčín, in Slovakia. He was studying at the Academy of Music Hanns Eisler Berlin and in present he is studying at the Academy of Music in Stuttgart ( Opernschule in class of Teru Yoshihara ). He graduated in clarinet and singing at the conservatory in Bratislava. He received his master's degree in clarinet at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava.
Young tenor participated in many festivals and masterclasses in Europe as Kammeroper Rheinsberg , Tiroler festspiele Erl, Schleswig Holstein Music Festival. Rheingau Music Festival, Music Festival Aix en Provence etc.
Under the baton of Hans-Christoph Rademann he sang tenor part in Osteroratorium from J.S.Bach and participated in master classes with Lothar Odinius and Ulrike Sonntag in Stuttgart in 2015 as part of Bachwoche Festival.
He also took part in a master class with Thomas Quasthoff and Bo Skovhus.
As part of a Unesco project - together with the Osipov Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Andropov he sang and played in clarinet concerts in Moscow, Paris and Strasbourg.
Patrik Horňák is cooperating with a numerous world known ensembles as Chorakademie Lübeck ,Collegium vocale Gent ( Phillippe Herrewerghe ), Gli Angeli Geneve etc.
In the season 2015/2016 he sang with the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra in Heinrich Schütz's "Musical Exequien" (dirigent Rolf Beck) and with the Czech Chamber Orchestra Pardubice in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Requiem".
In 2016 he sang the part of Evangelist in Bach´s Johannespassion with barock orchestre Solamente Naturali and Chorakademie Lübeck.
At the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava in season 2015/2016 made his debut as Sandrino in Giovanni Paisiello's Il Re Teodore in Venezia.
In the season 2017/2018 he sang Belmonte in The Abduction from the Seraglio (W.A.Mozart) in Slovak National Theater in Bratislava under the baton of Peter Valentovic.
In January 2016 he sang with the Echo Ensemble in the Berlin Philharmonic Zender's "Winterreise".
In the season 2016/17 the young singer made his debut in New Scenes III at the Deutsche Oper Berlin.
In 2017 he sang part of Evangelist in Bach´s Christmas oratorio in South Korea with Tongyeong symphony orchestra under the baton of Rolf Beck.
In 2018 he sang Händel´s Messiah in Berlin Philhamonic with Märkisch Barock orchestre.
In january in 2019 Patrik Hornak made his debut as Ferrando in Mozart´s Cosi fan tutte in Wilhelma Theater in Stuttgart ( Conductor Richard Wien , Director Olivier Tambosi ).
In april 2019 made his debut in Osterfestspiele in Baden-Baden as Johannes Brahms in world premiere of the oper Clara from Victoria Bond in cooperation with Festspielhaus Baden-Baden , Karajan Orchester Academy and Berlin Phil.
