Biography

Tudor Moldoveanu is a talented demi-soloist of the Czech National Ballet, originally from Tulcea, Romania. He began his ballet training at the Floria Capsali Choreographic High School in Bucharest, followed by studies at the Wiener Staatsoper Ballettschule in Vienna and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School in Canada. During his time in Winnipeg, he had the opportunity to perform in various productions, including Giselle, Le Corsaire, La Bayadère, The Nutcracker, and Carmina Burana.

Upon graduating in Romania, Tudor joined the Bucharest National Opera as a member of the corps de ballet, where he performed in notable works such as La Bayadère, Giselle, and The Sleeping Beauty. He furthered his career at the National Ballet of Canada and Alberta Ballet, expanding his repertoire with ballets such as Nijinsky (John Neumeier), Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland (Christopher Wheeldon), and Madame Butterfly (Stanton Welch), among others.

Tudor joined the Czech National Ballet in 2014 as a member of the corps de ballet and was promoted to demi-soloist in 2015. His featured roles with the company include Ali Baba and Four Princes in The Sleeping Beauty (Marcia Haydée), Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet (John Cranko), Rothbart in Swan Lake, and Devil in both The Nutcracker by Youri Vámos and Petr Zuska. He has also performed soloist roles in contemporary and modern ballets, including Jiří Kylián’s Gods and Dogs, Petite Mort, and Soldier’s Mass, as well as works by William Forsythe, Mauro Bigonzetti, Glen Tetley, and George Balanchine.

As a guest artist, Tudor has performed in Romania at the Regal de Balet international gala, showcasing the Coppélia pas de deux and the duet “Moldova” from Radu Poklitaru’s Rain. He has also been invited to perform at the Romanian embassy in Prague and with the Slovenian National Ballet. Throughout his training, Tudor received first and second prizes annually at the National Ballet Competition in Romania and participated in the Youth America Grand Prix Finals in New York City, earning multiple scholarships to prestigious ballet schools in Canada, the USA, and Germany.

Beyond his dance career, Tudor is passionate about human biomechanics and breathwork, studying under notable teachers such as Mads Tömörkènyi, Wim Hof, and Stig Severinsen. He has completed various courses in deep tissue massage, cupping, fascia therapy, and multidimensional movement, earning diplomas in these fields.
