Petra Vlachynská
Biography
After graduating from the Technical University in Liberec (clothes design), Petra Vlachynská continued to study at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague – at the Department of Set Design (costumes and masks) and at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre (set design focused on site-specific theatre). She has created costumes for theatre productions and films, site-specific projects, and has also devoted to styling and fashion design. To date, she has collaborated with the directors Jan Nebeský, Jan Frič, Braňo Holiček and Jan Bušta, as well as the Spitfire Company, Tantehorse and other artists. She has worked on a number of films, with one of them, Bába (Granny), directed by Zuzana Kirchnerová Špidlová, having won first prize in the Cinéfondation section at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival.
