Petros Gallias
Biography
Born in Corfu / Greece. He took classes of dancing at the State School of Dance and at several seminars in Greece and abroad.
1993: Graduated from the National Τheater’s of Greece Drama School.
1991-2020: Co-operated as a dancer and actor with the National Τheater of Greece, Irene Papas, Michalis Cacoyannis, Athens Concert Hall and several theatre and dance groups.
1992-2020: Choreographed or /and Direct, 96 play's for theatre, 41 lyric operas, 35 dance theatres, 3 play's with puppets, 10 play's with children's and 8 with teenagers, many concerts, several music theatres, shows etc. between others, for the National Τheater of Greece, the Athens Chamber Opera, the Greek National Opera, the Athens and Epidaurus Festival, the Athens Concert Hall, the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Corfu, the Fujiwara Opera of Tokyo, the National Theatre of Prague and several European Programs.
1993-2020: Founded the Dance-Τheater group “Iros Angelos” (“Harbinger of Spring”) and he directed and choreographed 36 productions.
Since 1997 he is teaching “body expression” in several seminars, in Universities and Conservatories, Greece and Europe.
Since 2011 he is President of the Greek branch of the UNESCO International Dance Council.
Since 2002 he is President of the Association of Greek Choreographers.
2012 -2015: He was Artistic Director of the Municipal and Regional Theatre of Corfu.
