Biography
Slovak-born Czech soprano Tamara Morozová made her debut at the National Theatre in Prague as Mizzi in Franz Schreker’s opera Der ferne Klang (State Opera, 03/04/2022). She graduated from the Academy of Music in Prague in 2017. In 2015, she attended master classes in Vienna with Eddy Moser, and in the following year furthered her studies at the Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg. She won second prize in the Song category (2017), and third prize along with the Prague National Theatre Award in the main Opera category (2021) at the Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary. To this she added third prize from the Iuventus Canti International Competition in 2019. In 2017 she created the role of Mother in Hansel und Gretel at Weikersheim, Germany. With the ensemble Run OpeRun she appeared in Francis Poulenc’s monodrama La voix humaine at the Prague festival Opera 2020. She is also a sought-after lieder interpreter, and a founding member of Lieder Society z.s.
