Taras Mikhalevsky
Biography
Taras Mikhalevsky has designed more than 250 dramatic and musical performances in Russia and abroad. He is the main designer of the Theatre "School of dramatic art" and at the Moscow Art Theatre School, "Technology of artistic lighting design". He has been awarded certificates of honor of the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation "For a great contribution to the development of culture of the Russian Federation" and "For a great contribution to the development of culture of Moscow", and is a winner of the Omsk region Governor’s award and winner of the Sverdlovsk region Governor’s award. He is five-time nominee of the National Theatre Award "Golden mask" for performances of Alice at the Krasnoyarsk Young Spectator Theatre, 2015 (directed by Roman Feodori), Bindyuzhnik and the King of the Krasnoyarsk Young Spectator Theatre, 2016 (directed by Roman Feodori), Maria at the Omsk Drama Theatre, 2016 (directed by Georgy Tshvirava), Hemingway’s The old man and the sea at the International Chekhov Festival, 2017 (directed by Anatoly Vasiliev) and Dwarf Nose at the Perm Theatre, 2018 (directed by Boris Milgram). He has been a multiple winner of theatre festivals in the categories "Best work of a lighting artist". As a composer, he participates in various musical projects.
