Toman Equilibre
Biography
Toman Equilibre is a movement and vocal artist, rapper, performer, and coach. From a young age, he trained in kung-fu under Chinese master Qing Ming Tang, under whose guidance he won several national competitions.
Around the age of eighteen, he gradually turned to parkour and street acrobatics, becoming a renowned Czech parkourist and a co-founder of the most influential Czech team, In Motion. Through parkour, Toman gained numerous opportunities and collaborated with brands like Nike, Red Bull, and Wrangler. He also ventured into film as a stuntman in both Czech and international films and TV series, and starred as Luky in the feature film Ani Ve Snu!
Since then, he has added dance and equilibristics to his movement repertoire, studying under Jan Jirák. As a performer, he currently appears in The Bartered Bride (National Theatre Brno) directed by Ondřej Havelka and in the new circus production ONtestosterON, which premiered at Letní Letná in 2024.
In addition to movement disciplines, Toman has been involved in writing and vocal work since his adolescence, primarily through modern rap music, where he explores personal and societal spirituality and the human psyche. His concerts are uniquely combined with meditations featuring Mongolian throat singing, a practice he has been intensively studying for several years, which he also incorporates into collaborations with other artists.
As a coach and trainer, Toman has led numerous workshops and lectures both in the Czech Republic and abroad, focusing mainly on deepening the awareness and understanding of individuals with their bodies.
