Tomáš Pindór

Biography

Tomáš Pindór was born in Český Těšín and began his musical journey with the piano. He later studied organ at the People's Conservatory under Aleš Rybka and continued his education at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava under Pavel Rybka. Tomáš participated in significant organ courses both in the Czech Republic and abroad, including lessons with renowned musicians such as Martin Sander, Jaroslav Tůma, Frédéric Blanc, Carolyn Shuster-Fournier, and Kimberly Marshall, with a particular focus on improvisation under Wolfgang Seifen. He is a laureate of the organ competition in Most.

Tomáš has performed in concert venues across the Czech Republic and internationally in countries such as Poland, Switzerland, Slovakia, Germany, France, Cuba, and Russia. For over ten years, he served as the organist and regenschori at the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus in Český Těšín, where he regularly organized concerts and also held the position of artistic director of the Organ Festival in Český Těšín and Cieszyn, Poland.

Expanding his expertise, Tomáš pursued conducting and choir conducting studies at the Faculty of Education in Prague under the guidance of Marek Valášek and Jaroslav Brycha. He also worked as the regenschori at the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola in Prague, where he founded the Ignis Church Choir and continues to guest conduct and play the organ there.

Currently, Tomáš works as a ballet accompanist at the National Theatre in Prague and as a music teacher at the Dance Conservatory of the Capital City of Prague. He is also studying the organ at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague under Professor Jaroslav Tůma. Alongside his performance career, he is engaged in composition and organ improvisation and serves as a music dramaturg with Musica loci Prague. Tomáš collaborates with prominent Czech orchestras, including FOK and PKF – Prague Philharmonia, with whom he also records CDs.
