

Veli Petri Lindroos

The Finnish bass Petri Lindroos has guest appeared at the National Theatre Opera on 5 and 8 March 2020 as Rocco (Der fliegende Holländer, State Opera). He graduated from the Sibelius academy in Helsinki in 1997 and since then, he has sung at many European opera houses in Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Brussels, Luxembourg, Paris, London, Munich, Milan, Rome, Leipzig, Hamburg, Montreal, Calgary, Tokyo, etc. His role repertoire includes King Filip (Don Carlo), Fiesco (Simon Boccanegra), Zaccharia (Nabucco), Ramfis (Aida), Pimen (Boris Godunov), Mefistofele (Mefistofele), Méphistophélès (Faust and La Damnation de Faust), Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte), Osmin (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Don Basilio (Il barbiere di Sevilla), King Marke (Tristan und Isolde) and Daland (Der fliegende Holländer). Petri Lindroos has performed with many famous conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Kent Nagano, Asher Fisch and Leif Segerstam, to name just a few. In 2011–13, he was engaged at the Norweigian National Opera in Oslo.
