Vlasta Reittererová

PhDr. Vlasta Reittererová focuses on the musical theatre of the 19th and 20th centuries, Jewish-German composers born in Bohemia, the music of the interwar period, and the life and work of Alois Hába. She is the author of a number of studies published in Czech and foreign periodicals, and lectures at international colloquia. In recent years, she has also been engaged in translation. She studied musicology at the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague and at the same time the Conservatoire (acting and pantomime). She cooperated with several amateur theatre companies, in the years 1968–1970 she was a member of the ballet company of the Krušnohorské Theatre in Teplice, and until 1976 a member of the extras of the E.F. Burian Theatre in Prague. In the years 1987–2002, she worked at the Institute of Musicology at the Faculty of Arts of the Charles University, for several years she also taught at the Prague Conservatoire and at the Masaryk University in Brno.
