Wei Chen

Mr. Wei Chen is current a dancer at Zürich Ballet and has also worked with The Royal Ballet of Flanders, The National Ballet of Canada, and Houston Ballet.
His repertoire includes lead roles in pieces by William Forsythe including “New Sleep”, the role of Laurent in “In the Middle, Somewhat Elevated”, and has toured Mr. Forsythe’s signature full lengths, “Impressing the Czar” and “Artifact” around the world with The Royal Ballet of Flanders. He has also danced the role of Prince Siegfried in Marcia Haydée‘s “Swan Lake” in which he was promoted to the rank of the Principal Dancer after his debut at The Royal Ballet of Flanders. His other repertoire also includes Prince Desire in Marcia Haydée‘s “The Sleeping Beauty”, Lensky in John Cranko’s “Onegin”, Jiří Kylián’s “Wings of Wax” the Lead Man in Balanchine’s “Who Cares”, the role of Edward Watson from Wayne McGregor’s “Infra”, David Dawson’s “Faun”, Christopher Wheeldon’s “After the Rain”, and a new creation by Jorma Elo in “Killer Sweet”, George Balanchine’s “The Four Temperaments”, Jerome Robbins’ “Glass Pieces”, John Neumeier’s ”The Seagull”, Sir Peter Wright’s ”Giselle”, John Cranko’s ”Romeo and Juliet”, numerous roles in James Kudelka’s “The Nutcracker”, Davide Bombana’s “Carmen”, and many others.
