Biography
Norwegian baritone Yngve Søberg is a soloist of the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo. As Rigoletto, which he sang for the first time in 2012 at Opera di Firenze under Fabio Luisi, he has appeared at the Norwegian National Opera, the Hannover State Opera and the Bregenz Festival. Other roles have taken him to the Opernhaus Zürich, the Opera in Graz and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival. He is also a highly sought-after concert singer. Yngve Søberg studied at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and the Royal Danish Opera Academy in Copenhagen. He is a finalist in the 2007 Hans Gabor Belvedere International Singing Competition in Vienna and in 2012 won the prestigious Norwegian Tom Wilhelmsen Prize, awarded in the genre of opera and ballet.
