About
Depicting a once-great ruler’s descent into madness, King Lear is one of the most powerful tragedies ever staged. When the aged King relinquishes his empire, he divides it amongst his three daughters, promising the largest share to the one who professes to love him the most. But when the balance of power transfers to the next generation, Lear is cast out by those he trusts, alone in the wilderness, Lear is left to confront his mistakes, embarking on a maddening quest for self-knowledge and reconciliation.
Directed by PSC Artistic Director Guy Roberts, Lane Davies stars as Lear alongside PSC Associate Artists Gregory Gudgeon, Taylor Napier, Jessica Boone, Jared Doreck, Josh Morrison, Abigail Rice, Elissa Levitt, and Bob Boudreaux with Jim High, Scott Sophos, Megan Fitzpatrick, Kevin Quis, Pavel Caldr, Ksenia Lysuik, Kate Poletaevaroma, Olena Zavhorodyna, Jenn Kirk, and Hana Tomasová among others.
