About
“Worthy of an Oscar” – Glanc Magazine
Prague Shakespeare Company’s Venus in Fur, the sexiest, funniest, most acclaimed English-language production in Central Europe, returns from Prague Shakespeare Company in this special Valentine’s Day performance at the Estates Theatre starring Jessica Boone as the mysterious and provocative Vanda.
Written by theatrical mastermind David Ives, we are introduced to Vanda, an unusually talented young actress determined to land the lead in Thomas’ new play based on the classic erotic novel, Venus in Fur. Vanda’s emotionally charged audition for the demanding playwright/director becomes an electrifying game of cat and mouse that blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, love and sex, entering into an increasingly serious game of submission and domination that only one of them can win.
Directed by Prague Shakespeare Company Artistic Director Guy Roberts and starring Jessica Boone and Guy Roberts, Venus in Fur has been one of PSC’s most acclaimed productions touring to the United States and Hungary performs at the Estates Theatre for one show only as a special Valentine’s Day performance.
