La Fabrika

La Fabrika is a multifunctional cultural centre in Holešovice. It focuses on audiovisual projects, theatre and dance forms requiring unconventional spatial solutions, multimedia exhibitions, performances, lectures, workshops, as well as social gatherings, exhibitions, concerts and classical theatre performances. The complex was created by connecting and rebuilding several factory buildings from the early 20th century, located between Dělnická, Komunardů and Přístavní streets, according to the designs of the KAVA studio. The main space of the complex, Studio 1, was created by rebuilding the hall of Richter's machine factories in 2007. Five years later, a second hall was inaugurated on the site of the former Karel Bendelmayer foundry. The industrial origin gave La Fabrica a special charm and originality. Both areas are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and lighting design, with the possibility of varying the spaces with movable walls.
