The first lecture session prior to the performance of Poe will be facilitated by theatre educator Barbora Etlíková. She specializes in contemporary theatre reflection and is the founder and editor of the theater criticism blog "Podhoubí." With expertise in dialogical formats related to independent theater, she has served as an external lecturer at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU in Prague for the past four years, where she leads a Seminar of Criticism. This meeting will feature a moderated discussion that includes ongoing introductions to the context of Czech theatre and dance culture, along with insights into the work of the performance's creator, Lenka Vágnerová.

A multimedia production inspired by the life and work of the Romantic writer Edgar Allan
Poe. Characters from his magical world come to life in a Laterna Magika production that blends dance, singing, original music, live instrumental performances, striking scenography, and impressive costumes, props, and puppets.

The second meeting will be led by lecturer Klára Muknšnáblová. It is an introductory lecture that outlines the history of the creation of opera, the work of Antonín Dvořák, and other historical and social contexts.
