Musica non grata concluding weekend
The four–year Musica non grata project, dedicated to the music of Czech-German-Austrian composers persecuted by the Nazis, will come to a conclusion on the weekend of 5 to 7 April 2024. Don’t miss out on the last opportunity to see at Prague’s State Opera productions of Alexander Zemlinsky’s comic opera Kleider machen Leute (Clothes Make the Man), directed by Jetske Mijnssen, and Paul Abraham’s operetta-revue Ball in Savoy, directed by Martin Čičvák! On 6 April, the State Opera will host in modern-day premiere concert performances of Paul Hindemith’s Expressionism-influenced one-acter Sancta Susanna and Alexander Zemlinsky’s Eine florentinische Tragödie, telling a thrilling story set in Renaissance Florence, to be conducted by Karsten Januschke. By purchasing tickets for all three events, you will receive a 20% discount. A great tip for a music-packed weekend in Prague!
