With the dancers sharing the moment on stage with musicians from Baden-Baden, will the audience in Prague distinguish between flesh-and-blood artists and holograms?
Can we travel between different realities, can we be concurrently now here and another time elsewhere? Is it possible to lead a dialogue beyond time and space, shift the limits of perception, and raise questions within artistic and cultural experience, as well as humanity at large?
The production directed by Jana Günther at XR combines three premieres: of a new work created by the stellar Italian choreographer Mauro Bigonzetti for the Czech National Ballet; an electronic soundtrack by Sven Helbig as a contemporary update of Franz Schubert’s Death and the Maiden; as well Moritz Mayerhofer’s animations, adding a cinematic element, bringing into play and opening up a visual meta dimension.

Practical information
Where to buy tickets
The National Theatre sells tickets up to 6 months in advance. We are currently selling tickets for performances of Drama, Ballet, Opera and Laterna magika taking place in November 2024 – April 2025.
When purchasing online, you can get an e-ticket. You can pick up printed tickets in person at the box offices of the National Theatre.
What to wear?
By their appearance, attire and behaviour, the audience is obliged to adhere to the accustomed practice expected from them when attending a theatre performance.
Parking at the State opera
While visiting the State Opera, you can take the slip road on Wilsonova street from the left lane close to the State Opera building to the Parking Centrum above-ground garage. The parking fee is 60 CZK/h.
