27/8/2024

Ballet

The Czech National Ballet is entering its 142nd season with 80 dancers, hailing from 18 countries. The company boasts several new artists.

Australia’s Georgia Allardice has come to Prague from Dortmund’s NRW Juniorballett. Japan’s Kenyo Suzuki studied at the Tanz Akademie Zürich. Canada’s Javier Wong is a graduate of the Royal Ballet School in London. We will also soon be joined by the Korean dancer Yujin Kim, previously a member of the Lee Won-kook Ballet Company.

Moreover, we are delighted to announce that Erivan Garioli has been named a soloist. The versatile young dancer has been with the Czech National Ballet since 2021. Passionate, vivacious, classical and modern, gentle and explosive alike, he has showcased his talent in diverse repertoire roles. Erivan harbours a great enthusiasm for the arts, which he manifests every morning during studio training, as well as on stage in the evening, enthralling audiences with his contagious energy and tremendous ardour.
